According to Deloitte's Shift Index survey, 80% of people are dissatisfied with their
jobs. Consumption of antidepressants is rising every year and the vast majority of people
taking antidepressants live in the wealthiest countries in the world. It appears that
although many who live in the Western World have access to material things, they have not
found the recipe for happiness.

Several fascinating stories are already emerging: Shari Dunn of Portland left her home
in NYC after the 9/11 attacks to become a journalist. Karine Hovseplan went through major
changes after her marriage of 22 years collapsed and she began to travel solo. She is in
the process of becoming a health/life coach. Mike Hopkins retired from the US Airforce and
decided to pursue his dreams of travelling by house-sitting in different cities in the US
and abroad as well as writing articles for online publications. Michel Hussman of France
quit his well-paid day job in order to pursue his life-long aspirations of being a
musician.
