"It was truly an honor to participate in today's panel discussion," said Dea Medman, director of the employee assistant program at the Actor's Fund. "I understand first-hand how devastating addiction can be and I believe now is the time for Hollywood to have an honest conversation about the pervasiveness of this issue in the industry."

Assemblymember Richard Bloom (CA-50), who sits on the Arts and Entertainment committee in Sacramento, were among many state and county elected officials in attendance. Together they discussed and explored potential policy solutions to this problem. Currently, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) only provides medical insurance coverage that includes substance abuse treatment, anti-depressant, anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic medication to what they consider "Tier I" actors. Providing mental health coverage for all would be ideal. Also, there is no mandate in place that requires studios to have trained mental health professionals capable of conducting assessments and interventions present on-set. While this would be beneficial for all talent, it would be especially beneficial for those under the age of 18, who are most vulnerable to the stress of the industry and substance abuse.

"While Oscar winners can afford to pay the $60,000 - $90,000 a month for substance abuse treatment services, we're advocating for the, extras, costume designers, grips and up-and-coming actors who are part of SAGs more than 100,000 members often underinsured or have no insurance at all," said Jennifer Musselman, senior director of strategy and innovation for CLARE Foundation and former Nickelodeon executive. "The industry needs a strategy for prevention and intervention. It starts with today's conversation around on-set access to mental health professionals and expanded affordable care coverage for all."

Ice-T described losing both of his parents at an early age and finding a substitute family as an affiliate of the Rollin' 60's Crip Gang in Los Angeles, California. He enlisted as a U.S. Army Ranger and served four years, he said, but when a sergeant told him he wouldn't make it in real life, Ice-T decided to "stop being a chess piece on a board." Eventually he transformed what he called crime rhymes into a rap career as the self-proclaimed original gangster, and paid his dues in a handful of low-budget films before winning better roles.

Written by Rebecca Nichols Alonzo with Bob DeMoss, and released by Tyndale House Publishers Inc. in 2010, The Devil In Pew Number Seven tells the true story of Rebecca Nichols, a young girl who loses her parents when they stand up against evil within their church. Decades later, Rebecca must address if it was worth losing everything.

The tour kicks off in Raleigh, N.C. on April 4 and ends on June 10, 2015 in Los Angeles, Calif. The Campbells will travel on the two-month nationwide bus tour through 23 cities in the U.S. and Canada to screen and discuss the film with audiences. Events will include book signings of The PlantPure Nation Cookbook authored by Kim Campbell along with meet-and-greet rallies and fan interaction that will be filmed for inclusion in the final cut of the film. Key cities to host rallies include Tampa-St. Petersburg, Toronto, and Washington, D.C.

Since Schultz developed the concept in 1993 and established SMG in 2000, the company has swiftly grown to 19 locations and 190 screens in nine states. These new locations will add 53 screens, and expand operations to ten states, ranking Studio Movie Grill 20th largest exhibitor in the U.S.

SMG's first location in Pennsylvania, SMG Upper Darby, is set to open in Q2 of this year at 55 S. 69(th) Street. Opening this summer, SMG Simi Valley will be the first location for the company in Southern California. It will be the second SMG in the state. SMG Rocklin, a 9-screen, 35,000-square foot theater, opened to enormous and continuing success at the end of 2014.

Simi Valley Town Center, a 628,000-square-foot shopping, dining and entertainment destination will be anchored by the new-to-market Studio Movie Grill. The theater will be located at 1555 Simi Town Center Way on the north side of State Highway 118. The highly anticipated SMG Simi Valley location, scheduled to open in Q3 of 2015, will feature 9 screens in a 41,311 square-foot facility with VIP seating for 963.

The next SMG opening in Texas will be in Tyler in April as an anchor for the master-designed and pedestrian-friendly outdoor destination Village at Cumberland Park located at 8954 S. Broadway Avenue. Housed in 44,500 square feet, this location will contain12 screens and over 1,500 seats.

In Q3 SMG The Colony, Texas will open its doors as the 9(th) SMG location in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. With 11 screens and 1,280 seats, this 48,870 square-foot theater will mark SMG's 23(rd) location and 11(th) in Texas.

An additional 12 screens will be added to the rapidly growing SMG concept in Q4 with the addition of SMG Pearland to the Houston market at 8440 S. Sam Houston E. Parkway in Houston.

LAS CRUCES, N.M., Feb. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today MDI Distribution jointly announced with WS Holland manager, Ron Haney, some of the most exciting historical news to come out of Tennessee in years.

WS Holland is the drummer that recorded in those early years of Rockabilly with the likes of Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, and Mr. Holland was the only drummer Johnny Cash had in his band for his entire career.

Through the joint efforts of Drum Cat Entertainment and MDI Distribution Mr. Holland will be releasing archival history that spans multiple generations dating back to the early days of Sun Records. This will be the first time these private films have been released.

Ron Haney, President of Drum Cat Entertainment and Mr. Holland's personal friend for years, had this to say, "WS knew that the world of rockabilly would love these films and recordings but wanted to wait until the right time came along to release them. As soon as we both felt MDI's passion for the project and their ability to deliver quality product we knew the time is now."

Mr. Holland will release a Spoken Word CD titled "Life on the Road with Johnny Cash, The First 20 Years" in May 2015. This will have great stories as only WS can tell them of what it really was like to be there. It will also be released as an eBook and Distributed by Gatekeeper Press, a new division between MDI and Gatekeeper Press.

Subsequent releases featuring WS will include two full-length, never before released studio collaborations with the Tennessee 3 consisting of Holland, Dave Roe, bass and Cash guitarist, Bob Wootton. These releases represent the final studio projects completed by the world famous Tennessee 3.

On December 4, 2015 in time for Christmas will be a Deluxe Box Set celebrating the 60 Year Anniversary of the Million Dollar Quartet Recordings, titled "Million Dollar Memories". The Box set will be a Deluxe Limited numbered Edition and will include never before seen home and on the road film footage, Photographs, Vinyl, a Book, Posters, and a few extra surprises.

WS Holland's contribution to American popular music has been recognized by several respected drummers as being a major influence in their careers, including Ringo Starr of The Beatles.

In 2014 he was presented with the Ameripolitan Music Association's "Founder of the Sound Award" is an inductee of both the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the International Rockabilly Hall of Fame as well as The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for his work on iconic American recordings that include "Ring of Fire" with Johnny Cash and "Blue Suede Shoes" with Carl Perkins.

President Barack Obama speaks with Noah McQueen, a mentee in the White House Mentorship Program, which is designed to make a concrete impact on a group of young people by providing them with mentoring and exposure to new opportunities. He is the recipient of the school's Freedom Award, presented for overall outstanding achievement and academic turnaround, and is president of AMATE (African American Males Aspiring to Excel). McQueen recently started a mentoring program at Barack Obama Elementary School, in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. After graduating from high school later this year he hopes to attend Morehouse College, in Atlanta, Georgia, to study mass communication and education.

The first-ever permanent Graceland exhibition outside of Memphis will encompass over 28,000 square feet and include hundreds of artifacts from the Presley family's treasured Graceland Archives, showcasing the man, the performer and the music that revolutionized popular culture around the world. Visitors will experience an unprecedented journey through Elvis' life and career, beginning with his early days in Tupelo, Miss., through his first recording session in Memphis, rise to fame, Hollywood career, life at Graceland, the Las Vegas years and more. Graceland-produced videos will immerse guests in the experience, concluding with a 26-minute retrospective film featuring Elvis' greatest performances.
